Good morning guys Friday again, trying to keep you updated on what’s going on over here in Uganda.
Students are back at school and they’re trying to get into their groove. Classes, studying, serving, getting their schedules down again. Thank you for praying for them.
We did have the round table last Friday where we talked about polygamy. Is having multiple wives okay? We talked about God’s plan to have one man and one woman together. We also tried to record it. We made an audio recording because there’s a lot of people that want to come and they can’t make it. Our test run went pretty good so be on the lookout if you want to listen to next month’s roundtable (about divorce and remarriage). The audio will be posted on the Facebook page of The Bridge Calvary Chapel a few days says the event.
We’ve been working on planning a crusade for a mission team that’s coming from KLYT radio in Albuquerque, New Mexico in May. Went to Kampala this this week to try to get a worship leader to come and lead worship at the Crusade. I think it’s going to work out okay. Thanks for praying as we prepare for the team and the crusade.
Started English classes this week with a few students to help them improve their English.
Doing individual, one on one tutoring this term to try to better help people who are at different levels.
I also had coffee with a friend this week. It was nice to sit down and get to know someone a little bit better. Thanks friend for coming over.
I have typhoid. Went swimming and some water got in my mouth and I guess that’s where I got it. I’m taking the medication and I’m getting better. But, I wanted to share about during the process of discovering I had typhoid, how my God is a miracle worker. Most of you know I had cerebral malaria (falciparum malaria) a few years ago. I should be dead but I’m here only because God says so. When I left the hospital my kidneys were functioning at 9%. I got a gfr test (kidney function test), since i was getting blood work done anyway for typhoid. My kidneys are functioning at 90% now. Amazing. God keeps performing miracles in my life. Please let’s praise Him for the work that He does. When he says yes, when he says no, go, stay…. he’s our God.
Thank you for your prayers and I’ll talk with you next week.
